Dear Blog,

No, I haven't forgotten who you are. I still remember those times we spent together, the hours and nights when we carefully crafted words and phrases and sentences until they were prose. I really do remember.

But things are different now. I've been away for a long time, and I've met somebody new. This person is rather demanding, but I think that we've got lots of potential, and there's a much brighter future ahead for us if I can just grin and bear it for some time.

I know. I was never the kind of person who liked being told what to do. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, one of those kind of things where everybody tells you that you're foolish if you let go. I don't want to be a fool.

It's not that we can't be friends. I'll come visit you every now and then. You can send me emails, and hopefully I'll have time to respond. Let me know how you're doing.

I'm sorry things turned out this way. Maybe when things have settled down for good we can pick up where we left off. I guess we may have changed by then, gotten older, grown wiser. I just hope that you'll still remember the inspiration and thought that we had.
