Thinking Questions 4

Are your close friends the people that you desired to be close friends with, or are they the people who became the closest to you?

Do you prefer thin soups or thick stews? Why? If you like oatmeal, why?

Sometimes I have this mental image of an aching heart as this thick, pale red sponge that is being slowly compressed under the weight of the world, and releases a thin, watery, red fluid as if it is being dissolved. What do you think/feel when you consider an aching heart? Do you imagine your own heart?

I definitely have been thrown together with people I probably, if left to my own devices, would never pursue.

Thick stews are better. They are more substantial. Oatmeal is dependent on my mood and the type.

I don't actually imagine a heart, usually. I release the ache and describe the feeling with a metaphor. So, I guess I can't be imagining my own heart, although I am imagining my own ache.
